一、社会导师计划简介

UIC的新生在进校之初，导师关顾计划（以下简称MCP导师）使初入大学的学子们在专业学习和生活方面得到各组学校导师的倾力照顾。而到三、四年级时，学生们更多需要来自社会的信息，以适应了解社会、服务社会并推动社会的未来需求。

UIC推出的《社会导师计划》是对以全方位关爱学生成长为宗旨四维教育模式的进一步完善。UIC希望透过《社会导师计划》整合学校的社会资源，广泛征集社会各界成功人士担任社会导师，把他（她）们的知识、技能、心理、生活阅历等经验与高年级学生分享，并在他们的毕业设计、论文、专项课题研究、社会适应能力及企业实习就业等方面给与关爱、辅导与帮助。

二、社会导师计划的意义

《社会导师计划》能够帮助学生提前获得进入社会大舞台的各种宝贵知识和心得，也能够使家长实现一个再学习的过程。通过家长与学生的互动，在"易子而教"的过程中可以让家长与学生以不同的角度重新认识彼此。社会导师计划是学生关怀计划的延伸，她含盖了多维互动、多层参与、终身学习等多个教育创新理念，是四维教育的具体体现。

三、社会导师计划的实施方法

初期的社会导师计划主要在我校学生家长群体中进行。学校对大学新生实施导师关顾计划，对三、四年级学生实施社会导师计划，在学生成长的不同时间和空间中，家长和学校对学生进行交替的影响。《社会导师计划》从家长开始，通过学校的平台和大学的层面，引进、放大家长群体的优秀社会属性，尊敬家长的成功社会历程，使家长群体和学生群体良性互动。

四．具体方案如下：

• 1. 社会导师计划的原则是关顾成长，互动分享，彼此收获，因此，除必须的差旅费用外，社会导师计划总体上是公益性的、荣誉性的，学校将对各类社会导师进行资格认可，并颁发证书，及其他奖励措施，但不辅之以工资制度，不纳入我校全职聘任教师体系。

• 3. 随着《社会导师计划》的不断成熟和完美，UIC欢迎社会各界有志参与四维教育的社会群体参与其中，社会导师的选任也将从家长群体、校友群体延伸到更广泛的范围。

• 4，《社会导师计划》是四维教育理念下的一种教育创新， UIC的社会导师委员会具有对该计划的制定权和最终解释权。

The Social Mentor Program

Brief Introduction

The Mentor Caring Program provides help to new students in adjusting to college life and studies. For third and fourth year students, they need more practical advice and information as they move on to the business or public sector after graduation.

The Social Mentor Program is the extension of Four-Point Education. UIC hopes to invite successful social elites to be social mentors. They would share their knowledge and life experience with our senior students, and provide help and advice with summer internship and graduation placement.

The Significance of the Social Mentor Program

The program highlights innovative educational concepts and life-long education. It is a manifestation of Four-Point Education. The Social Mentor Program may provide students with practical knowledge and experience. Parents and students may get to know each other better via special activities.

Administration of the Social Mentor Program

1. Except for travel expenses, the Social Mentor Program is a public service program. There is no remuneration involved. The social mentors would be rewarded by the College in forms other than salary. They are not full-time teaching staff of UIC.

2. The Social Mentor Program would be administrated and supervised by the Social Mentor Committee:

a) The Social Mentor Committee: Executive Vice-President, representatives of academic divisions and Four-Point Education Office

b) A supervising team and an execution team are affiliated to the Social Mentor Committee.

• The supervising and review team: College senior management, professional responsible person, with one-year term of office.
• The Execution team: the Four-Point Education Office and Student Career Development Office.
• The supervising committee comprises different social mentors. They have proposal right in Social Mentor Committee, and would recommend other social mentors to the College. The term of service is voluntary and without time limitation.

3 As the Social Mentor Program matures, the appointment of social mentors would extend from parents, alumni to broader social scopes.

4 The Social Mentor Program is an educational innovation. The UIC Social Mentor Committee possesses the right to revise and interpret this Social Mentor Program.
