侯远坦博士获香港浸会大学学士、硕士、博士。曾任香港浸会大学计算机科学系助理教授，现任联合国际学院（UIC )计算机科学课程助理教授。侯博士是UIC创始人之一，2006年起担任UIC副教务长， 目前还担任理工科技学部协理院长和信息技术服务中心总监。
