On March 14th, 2006, Ms. Donna Moore, Associate Director of the Admissions Office of the Registrar in Simon Fraser University, paid a visit to UIC. We had a meeting and talked over cooperation between SFU and UIC.

The meeting mainly talked about the exchange student and articulation program. Donna Moore advised to have faculty exchange between UIC and Simon Fraser University, and said that using English as a medium of instruction is unique in China and the whole educational approach and the academic design would make UIC an attraction for the students. Prof. Kwok agreed with Donna Moore’s suggestion and said that UIC would like to provide the students with some special cross-cultural programs for international students.

This meeting provided both universities with a good opportunity to know each other better, and is a good opening for future collaboration.
